About Alexio

Canada's Award-Winning Cyber-Risk Prevention Suite

We deliver enterprise-class cyber-risk prevention at price you can afford.

The security of personal information online is a global disaster. Every day there’s a new data breach. It’s happening in big business, small business, hospitals, goverments, and individual consumers.

Great cyber-security is an even bigger challenge for smaller businesses because they don’t have big budgets. A solution to the problem was needed.

Alexio’s founders set out to solve the problem. Anne Genge CEO,  and Stephen Genge CISO, have deep roots in the healthcare technology field. Since the 1990s, they have been a part of transitioning the industry from paper to digital patient records and implementing systems to protect them.

With the growing need for clinics and businesses to adopt digital infrastructure came an increased need to protect against cyber-threats. With patient data now being stored digitally, hackers, viruses, ransomware and other cyber-attacks dramatically increased the need for a standardized and robust cyber-security solution.

Data breaches and privacy breaches have become one of the biggest challenges of the 21st century.

The Alexio team created a software solution specifically for small healthcare practices to provide enterprise-class cyber-security protection at a price affordable to the smaller network environment.

  • They built Alexio, which offers multiple layers of security against threats and breaches.
  • They integrated artificial intelligence into their software that allows a clinic to monitor and prevent threats 24/7.
  • Recognizing that the front line of defense against cyber-crime is actually the humans using their technology, they also built robust training into their solution, and include it for free for all their clients.

Today, Alexio’s products safeguard dentists, doctors, healthcare practices, and other small businesses – helping protect millions of patient and sensitive records across the country.

Leveraging automation, machine-learning, and multi-layered security threat intelligence, Alexio™ Defender continuously scans the systems and major applications to defend against internal and external threats. The software has specific ransomware protection as well as content-blocking and filtering settings. Alerts are sent when possible intrusions or threats are present. The system is fully automated, with real-time security diagnostics occurring 24/7.

Alexio™ Defender also performs security patch updating and maintenance to protect operating systems from vulnerabilities and intrusion attempts. The software is not only able to proactively self-diagnose, but, in many instances it will also self-repair, which eliminates crucial downtime.

"One of the biggest challenges in implementing great cyber-security is not always the expense, it's the need for people to embrace change. It IS inconvenient, and that's the whole point. We need to make it more difficult for cyber-criminals and that can't happen if you want unfettered access yourself."
